WINDWARD KEY AWNING SURVEY

TIME SENSITIVE: COMPLETE SURVEY BY TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8TH, 2026

The Architectural Committee is asking homeowners to help select the future awning style for Windward Key.

INTRODUCTION

We have identified two lower maintenance awning prototypes for consideration.

Please review the comparison photographs below showing the two prototypes before completing the survey.

We are also giving homeowners the option of indicating that they prefer to keep the existing canvas awning style.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The purpose of this survey is to determine the preference of the Windward Key homeowners.

Once the survey is complete and the results have been reviewed, the Board intends to propose an amendment to the Declaration establishing the selected awning as the community standard.

If the amendment is ultimately approved in accordance with the requirements of the Declaration and applicable law, homeowners would be required to replace their existing awning with the approved style within the time period of no later than 5 years.

SURVEY QUESTION

You will be asked to rank the following three awning choices in order of preference.

NOTE: Only one homeowner per unit may complete the survey.

CHOICE 1 — Prototype 1 - Roof Shingles - Unit 8084

CHOICE 2 — Prototype 2 - Blue Metal Roof - Unit 8078 (Home on Right Side)

CHOICE 3 — Blue Canvas - Current (Home on the Left Side - Picture above))

SCORING

The points for each awning choice will be totaled after the survey closes. The option receiving the highest number of total points will be considered the homeowners’ preferred awning style.

For purposes of determining the overall community preference, SurveyMonkey responses should be scored as follows:

1st Choice = 3 points
2nd Choice = 2 points
3rd Choice = 1 point
